Children and Grandparents Hurt in Hit and Run Crash
Two children, along with their grandparents were hurt when the car they were in was hit by a driver who then sped away. A good Samaritan tried to chase the car that sped off, but was unable to catch up. “The BMW barreled eastbound down Dewitt Avenue and into oncoming traffic. Its driver tried to swerve around a parked livery cab at the corner of Snediker Avenue, cops and witnesses said. Instead, she struck a Lincoln Town Car with the grandparents and their grandchildren inside. She continued on until the car finally came to rest when it wedged beneath a red SUV.” The occupants of the BMW then ran away on foot even though nearby witnesses tried to contain them and prevent them from running. In total, 3 parked cars were hit, along with the BMW and the Lincoln Town car that had the children and their grandparents. The 4 victims were transported to the hospital with minor injuries and the driver and passenger of the BMW have not been arrested as of late.
